What does the badge mean?
The cherry is the club's defining symbol — Bournemouth are nicknamed "The Cherries," a name that dates to their early ground at Kings Park where cherry trees lined the pitch. Red and black stripes have been worn since the 1910s. The badge is refreshingly honest — it depicts exactly what the nickname says, with no lions, eagles or mythological creatures.
