Crystal Palace

Founded 1905 "South London and Proud"

What does the badge mean?

The eagle references the club's nickname "The Eagles," adopted in the 1970s when the club rebranded away from their previous "Glaziers" nickname. Red and blue have been Palace's colours since the early 20th century. The Crystal Palace name itself comes from the famous iron and glass structure built for the Great Exhibition of 1851, which stood in the area until it burned down in 1936.
