Liverpool

Founded 1892 You'll Never Walk Alone

What does the badge mean?

The Liver Bird is Liverpool's city symbol — a mythical cormorant-like creature that appears on the Royal Liver Building and has represented the city for centuries. The two torches on either side represent the eternal flame of Hillsborough, added to the badge in 1999 as a permanent tribute to the 97 victims. "You'll Never Walk Alone" has been the club's anthem since the Kop adopted the Gerry and the Pacemakers version in 1963.
